In a glittering awards ceremony last night in the BMW EDGE auditorium, Deborah and Adrian Munari, just off the plane from a gruellling export trip to China, said they were delighted to win the Shiraz Trophy and then overwhelmed to follow up with the 'Wine of the Year' award."We're delighted" said Adrian Munari after the ceremony. "It's great to win things and it's also pleasing to see so many Heathcote wines in the Awards final" Adrian added. Heathcote region featured prominently in the Shiraz class with seven of the nineteen finalists - Munari Wines with their 2006 Lady's Pass Shiraz and 2006 Beauregard Shiraz, Sanguine Estate with their 2006 Estate Shiraz and 2006 D'Orsa Shiraz, Peregrine Ridge (winner of the Judges' Award last year) with their 2006 Limited Release Shiraz and 2006 American Oak Shiraz, and Hanging Rock Winery with their 2006 Heathcote Shiraz.
