Milvine Estate is located in central Heathcote, a short drive up the Redesdale/Kyneton Road. We are boutique wine producers specializing in estate grown Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Cellar Door is surrounded by vineyard and built of local fieldstone, harmonizing with our family home and environment. We feel our property reflects the individuality of its owners, which is equally expressed in our wines.

The first vines were planted in 1994, and each year sees more plantings. The first vintage in 2003 was bottled in September 2004. This vintage was well received by the wine loving public, wine writers and judges. Subsequent vintages are exceptional wines, smooth and elegant whilst maintaining the absolute integrity of Heathcote Shiraz.
The grapes are monitored during the growing season to ensure that only quality grapes are left on the vines; surplus or lesser quality grapes are cropped whilst the grapes are still in their early growth stage. The grapes are picked at 1 to 1.5 tonne to the acre. This ensures maximum fruit quality.
Recently several tonnes of Heathcote grown Marsanne was selected for our first Heathcote “white varietal” the wine is now bottled and the quality has proven be of the same high standard as our reds.
