The 2018 Saint Martin Heathcote Wine Show celebrates the new jewel in Victoria's wine crown when wines made from grapes grown in the region are awarded medals and trophies by a judging panel of leading industry experts.

And the winners of the top awards will be announced at the Showcase of the Region Dinner on Saturday 4 August.

The dinner includes exclusive tasting of Gold Medal wines, a contemporary menu matched and enhanced by trophy winning wines and entertainment by MC Brian Nankervis of RockWiz fame and local Blues and Roots musicians

Bookings https://www.trybooking.com/WDPC

Entries for our 2018 show are now open and being online through the AWRI Showrunner – a new platform for ease of entry management in shows across Australia for exhibitors, judges and organisers. With Showrunner, accurate and timely recording of entries will be possible and results promptly available for exhibitors.

Wineries simply create their online login and their own online show database of wines to select show entries.

Open to all wines produced with fruit from the Heathcote GI, entries for the 2018 show close on 7 July with judging on 2 and 3 August by a panel chaired by Sue Bell of Bellwether Wines.

Additional classes have been created this year for Mediterranean-style varieties and again, the Heathcote Grand Terroir trophy will be judged for outstanding consistent Shiraz over three vintages.

The schedule is available at:

The Heathcote Region

The region is renowned for its shiraz and the famous ancient red Cambrian soils of Heathcote also produce outstanding examples of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and excellent Rieslings and Viognier. Our local vineyards and their winemakers are joined by producers around Australia in releasing fine Heathcote Shiraz wines. A visit to our winery cellar doors is a unique experience just over an hour from Melbourne. Find out more about our region.
