Due to the continuing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and uncertainty surrounding the lifting of restrictions across Victoria, Heathcote Winegrowers Association (HWA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Heathcote Wine & Food Festival.

HWA would like to thank everyone involved in the Festival – attendees, partners, suppliers, performers, staff & volunteers, producers and of course, our winemakers, who all contribute to making the Festival a much-anticipated event each year.

HWA looks forward to the Festival returning in 2021 and in the meantime remains committed to supporting local wineries and welcoming visitors back to Heathcote when restrictions allow.

The region is renowned for its shiraz and the famous ancient red Cambrian soils of Heathcote also produce outstanding examples of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and excellent Rieslings and Viognier. Our local vineyards and their winemakers are joined by producers around Australia in releasing fine Heathcote Shiraz wines. A visit to our winery cellar doors is a unique experience just over an hour from Melbourne. Find out more about our region.
