Heathcote Wine & Food Festival - Back for 2023

Saturday, October 7 & Sunday, October 8

Tickets on-sale here

Heathcote Wine and Food Festival is an icon on the Australian wine calendar and the showcase of the region's major industry – running annually for more than 16 years.

Among the more than 4000 attendees each year are Festival regulars who have become enthusiastic ambassadors for the Heathcote wine region alongside first-time visitors eager to experience a weekend away in Regional Victoria.

Scavenger hunts

Overwhelmed with choice and not sure which wines to buy? Check out the Festival Scavenger Hunts.

New release wines

The festival is your chance to be among the first to sample new release wines from the Heathcote region and learn more about wines that have recently achieved success in international and national awards including the Interpack Heathcote Wine Show which is held in late July.

Family friendly celebration

The Heathcote Showgrounds are transformed into a stunning family-friendly village setting in the days leading up to festival celebrations, a contrast to the first festival featuring a handful of wineries in the courtyard of a local restaurant. With a live music stage curated by Bendigo Blues & Roots, lawn games and kids entertainment by Mr Mike there is fun to be had for all ages.

The Heathcote Region

The region is renowned for its shiraz and the famous ancient red Cambrian soils of Heathcote also produce outstanding examples of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and excellent Rieslings and Viognier. Our local vineyards and their winemakers are joined by producers around Australia in releasing fine Heathcote Shiraz wines. A visit to our winery cellar doors is a unique experience just over an hour from Melbourne. Find out more about our region.

We acknowledge that the Heathcote Wine region is on Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Country.

We  pay our respects to leaders and Elders past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Peoples.

We express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing.
