Buckshot Vineyard

We are a small family owned producer of award winning red wine. In aiming to produce the best Victorian Shiraz, we chose Heathcote.

The vineyards soils are riddled with “BUCKSHOT”, a colonial expression describing the ironstone pebbles that have formed over many centuries, a true sign of how ancient these soils are.

Farmer & The Scientist

 The new kids on the block have created a buzz on the Heathcote wine scene. Selling out from their first vintage in 2013 and collecting the odd medal or two, including winning top place with their Tempranillo at the 2016 Victorian Wine Awards. Offering a solid range of wines, backed by simple, honest winemaking is gaining this young couple a growing following.

Heathcote Estate was planted in 1999 on the ancient Cambrian soils that define the heart of the region.

Kennedy Vintners

The Kennedy vineyard is located on the east-facing slope of the Mount Camel Range, on a site renowned for its beautiful soil and aspect. Our family specialise in growing high-quality fruit that truly reflects our site. We produce elegant Shiraz and dry, textural Rosé using minimal intervention winemaking practices.

Mundy Gully

Mundy Gully Wines was born out of a passion for Heathcote Shiraz. This passion (turned obsession) saw the establishment of a vineyard at Tooborac, a small town 15km’s south of Heathcote.

Noble Red

Noble Red is a winery which was established in 2002 by the Sobiesiak Family, situated in the Heathcote region. Adopting a dry-grown philosophy with minimal chemical use, the 15 acres under vine produce low yield and concentrated fruit making great, big Heathcote style wines.

Pook Road

Formerly St Michaels vineyard, Pook Road dates back to 1995 when it was planned and planted by Mick Cann.

In 2017 Mick began the transition from full-time winemaker, mentoring aspiring vignerons Guy Kidney and Charlotte James in the art of Heathcote wine making.

The couple experienced their first vintage in 2018 and have since 'survived' vintages 2019, 2020 and 2021 (yes, we have stories)!

Rogues Lane

Rogues Lane is a small family owned vineyard in the Heathcote region. The vineyard is comprised of 7 acres made up of 95% Shiraz and 5% Malbec. The vines were planted in 1995 and are pruned to limit yields to under 2 tons per acre. 

Sutherland Wine

Established in 2013, we are a family operated winey producing small parcels of premium Shiraz that reflect the distinct characteristics of the region.  Situated 10 minutes north of Heathcote, we keep production levels in our east facing vineyard low which enables us to carefully hand select the best grapes and focus on producing the shiraz of the highest quality.Wine is made on-site following traditional methods of small-batch fermentation and basket pressing, followed by up to 24-months maturation in 100% French Oak barrels.
