Heathcote Wine Show

The Heathcote Wine Show is held annually and brings together Australia's industry leaders to award trophies and medals for the best wines produced in the Heathcote wine region.

Approximately 300 entries are received each year from both boutique wineries and larger wine producers alike. All entries must meet the content criteria for grapes grown in the region.

The show has achieved stature and importance since first being held in 2013 with trophy and medal winners going on to outstanding success in other shows and competitions across Australia and internationally, further building the world-wide reputation of the Heathcote wine region for premium fine wines ranging from Shiraz to exciting Mediterranean varietals, red blends and whites.

The Heathcote Region

The region is renowned for its shiraz and the famous ancient red Cambrian soils of Heathcote also produce outstanding examples of Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and excellent Rieslings and Viognier. Our local vineyards and their winemakers are joined by producers around Australia in releasing fine Heathcote Shiraz wines. A visit to our winery cellar doors is a unique experience just over an hour from Melbourne. Find out more about our region.

We acknowledge that the Heathcote Wine region is on Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Country.

We  pay our respects to leaders and Elders past, present and emerging for they hold the memories, the traditions, the culture and the hopes of all Dja Dja Wurrung and Taungurung Peoples.

We express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, our sorrow for the personal, spiritual and cultural costs of that sharing and our hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing.
